This rubber is known as Natural Rubber or Latex, which comes from a sap found in about 10% of all flowering plants. It’s a flexible polymer which is durable but does tend to attract dust and lint more than other materials. It is commonly vulcanised to make it stronger and more rigid. PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) is a similar but less flexible polymer which tends to be more cheap-feeling and isn’t as good as the other options for actually rough conditions. However, it is still a good choice for more casual wear.
